Tool/Pipeline Engineer

職務内容/Job duties We are looking for a tool/pipeline engineer to work on our next project and help us maintain and optimize our content creation tools and AI design workflows. While our researcher team focusses on developing new character AI technologies, the tool/pipeline engineer will play the crucial role of bringing these technologies to hands of our game designers and conversation planners. The tool/pipeline engineer will be a pivotal bridging point between the worlds of researchers, engineers, and designers. Being a good team player is an obvious must. The ideal candidate should have a general understanding of modern game engines and DCC tools, and display curiosity of new technology. Responsibilities range from tool design to workflow architecture and CI/CD integration.

【Responsibilities】
・Create tools required for the workflow of our game designers, conversation planners, and AI researchers
・Maintain the various backend systems required for production (e.g. CI)
・Collaborate tightly with engineers responsible for the whole range of systems we build, ranging from Graphics over Animation to Sound and AI.
・Work closely with content creation teams to identify problems and ensure tools are functioning properly
・Document the work to transfer knowledge and enable new users to understand how to use the new functions
・Continuously improve the flexibility and performance of our toolchain
・Help drive the creation of new data generation workflows that increase creative output while minimizing time 
応募資格/Qualifications 【Required Skills & Experience】
・3+ years of professional experience working on production tools
・Excellent programming and scripting skills (C++, C#, Python)
・Solid experience with UI frameworks and interoperability (WPF, .Net, CLI)
・Strong ability for analyzing and extending existing code
・Ability to communicate in English and/or Japanese

【Good to have】
・Experience managing CI pipelines
・Experience with web-frontends
・Experience with Linux
・Basic knowledge in 3D content creation software (e.g. Maya)
・Experience in game development 
待遇/Salary & Benefits 【Type of Employment】
Contract employee
*While an contract allows for the shift to a full-time position, it does not guarantee it. Several factors, including personal performance and company need, will be taken into consideration when recommending an contract employee for a full-time contract.

【Salary】
Salary commensurate with experience and ability with due consideration, the company provide employees preferential pay regardless of age according to our company's regulations. Adjustments to the aforementioned wages will be considered in responding to their ability and performance after joining the company.

【Working Hours】
It will be flextime. Please note that allocation of work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks is left to the discretion of the employee.
*Deemed working hours are 9.5 hours.
*There is no designated overtime.
*Different working arrangements from above cases may apply according to our company's regulations.

【Holidays/ Paid Holidays】
Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese National Holidays, Year End Holidays (12/29 - 12/31), New Year's Holidays (1/2 - 1/3), paid vacations (It depends on when you are hired), and special leave for weddings and funerals.

【Other】
Travel allowance, social insurance, recreation facilities, and physical examination are applied.
